ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Roger Prince

WHERE I COME FROM

I grew up here in the Madawaska Valley on the Prince family farm and went to school at Madawaska Valley District High School. It is here in this town, that I learned the value of  hard work and the importance of community and good neighbours. My roots run deep here - five generations deep. The Prince family was one of the 12 original families to settle in the area, arriving 164 years ago in 1858, helping to build this community. Following the example of my forefathers I feel called to serve the community.

A THRIVING CAREER

I bring 35 years of business leadership experience working with municipalities across Ontario, provincial departments, school boards and major companies, providing technology tools to assist managing roads, sewers, water, bridges and buildings.

As a Business advisor and hands on consultant, I've worked closely with business owners re-engineering sales and leadership teams, mentoring and coaching  on operational controls, risk management, reporting structures and revenue growth.

I've always believed that living in a community, also means giving back. For me that has included:

 - Board member and Vice President, Aurora Minor Hockey

- President and Founder Bell Canada, Trinity Square Toastmasters

- Board Member, Durham Hospice, Chair Advocacy Committee

- Chair, Advisory Committee Computer Studies, George Brown College

- Founder and President of 100 Men Who Care, Uxbridge

 - Certified Coach Practitioner, Green Belt and Board Governance

MISSION STATEMENT

Focused On Our Future

I want to build on the good work of former councils that has been already accomplished, with a focus on serving our seniors, young families, our business community and artisans. I bring a servant leadership style that welcomes fresh ideas that are fiscally responsible and benefit the greater community. I am a proud father of four wonderful sons and eight grandchildren and with the full support of my loving partner Kelly, look forward to serving you.
